                Johnson household #694.  William died 10-14-1862.  I was unable to confirm Civil War service for William.  
               
William VanCleve/VanCleave married Mary Ann Johnson in 1856.  Mary Ann was the Daughter of Robert 
                Henry Johnson and his wife, Catherine Smith.  After William’ death in 1862, Mary Ann remarried to William B. 
                Bolen in 1867.

                (SH:  Elder Hosea C. Vise was one of the first residents of Hamilton County, with his land patent dated 8-30-1836.   Elder Hosea Vise was born in 1811 and came to IL in 1831 from South Carolina.  He married Lettie Ellsworth Moore 1836.     He was a businessman, owning the H. C. Vise Mercantile store, and a Baptist Minister.  He is buried at Antioch Cemetery.
