(this per Virginia CUNNINGHAM,  is poss. Cornelius REED, s/o Rev. Thomas REED & Nancy JOHNSON HATLEY REED, b. 8 Oct 1873 - not verified, needs work  jm)

(SH:  Nancy Johnson Hatley Reed is connected to the Zopher and Phebe Cooper Johnson family.  Nancy is
either Zopher and Phebe’s neice, or she is their daughter.  Zopher’s brother, Joseph, married Phebe Cooper’s
sister, Elizabeth, in 1816 in Greene County, TN.  After Nancy’s first husband, William Hatley (whose mother was
Zopher Jr’s sister, Phebe Johnson Hatley!) deserted his wife and children in MO, Nancy brought her family to
Hamilton County late in 1859 or early in 1860.  In the 1860 Hamilton County, Knights Prairie, census, she resides
between Zopher and Phebe Cooper Johnson and Robert Henry and Catherine Smith Johnson.  The preliminary
conclusion at this time is that Nancy Johnson Hatley Reed is the neice of Zopher and Phebe Cooper Johnson. )

(SH:  This year of death, 1835, is incorrect.  (The cemetery transcription done in 1877 also has this 1835 date.)    I believe that the 1835 date is a transcription error due to the weathering of the marker, and the correct date is 1885. Harriet is the daughter of James Kent Johnson and Nancy Allison/Ellison, both of whom are buried here.  Harriet Johnsonwas born in 1843 and married  James Reed in 1864.)
