Generation No. 1

1.  JAMES HARRISON3 REEDER  (JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born 1819 in Kentucky, and died 1850 in unk.  He married SARAH P. WILLIAMS June 17, 1844 in Hamilton Co., IL.  She was born 1820 in Tennessee, and died 1850 in unk.

James, Sarah and their four children are listed on the 1850 Census of Hamilton Co., IL.  His occupation is listed as "laborer".  (Residence: 363/363)

                   i.       WILLIAM F.4 REEDER, b. 1842.

                  ii.       MATILDA CAROLINE REEDER, b. 1844.

2.  IRVING CHRISTOPHER4 REEDER (JAMES HARRISON3, JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born September 07, 1846 in McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois, and died December 10, 1917 in McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois.  He married ANNA MARIA FULTON April 18, 1869 in McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois.  She was born June 17, 1848 in unk, and died March 22, 1914 in McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois.

Notes for IRVING CHRISTOPHER REEDER:

Irvin Reeder served with Grierson on what is known as "The Grierson Raid" during the Civil War. He belonged to Company H of the 6th Illinois Cavalry. He enlisted on February 29, 1864. He survived the war to draw a pension later in life from the U.S. Government of $23 per month. His brother Marion Judson Reeder served with the 6th Illinois Cavalry also, and enlisted on April 12, 1864. He died and is buried at Gravely Springs, Alabama. Both brothers were raised by John and Annie Belle Pratt.

          Jasper died after suffering through tuberculosis.

3.  JOSEPH FIFER5 REEDER (IRVING CHRISTOPHER4, JAMES HARRISON3, JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born April 09, 1889 in McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois, and died November 27, 1955 in Port Allen, Louisiana.  He married INEZ MYRTLE CROSS 1911 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, daughter of JOHN CROSS and OLIVE ELLIS.  She was born June 01, 1884 in Middle Creek, McLeansboro, Hamilton county, Illinois, and died November 24, 1959 in Port Allen, Louisiana.

Notes for JOSEPH FIFER REEDER:
Joseph was a baseball player as as a young man, but promised his mother on her deathbed that he'd quit. He played in the Minors for the Chicago White Sox and loved the game.

                        ii.          JOSEPH FIFER REEDER6 JR (JOSEPH FIFER5 REEDER, IRVING CHRISTOPHER4, JAMES HARRISON3, JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born December 26, 1914 in Des Moines, Iowa, and died January 19, 1988 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He married ALMETUS MCKINLEY.  She was born January 22, 1916 in Grand Glaze, Arkansas.

                       iv.         JOHN ROBERT6 REEDER (JOSEPH FIFER5, IRVING CHRISTOPHER4, JAMES HARRISON3, JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born November 17, 1918 in West Frankfort, Illinois, and died April 19, 1999 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  He married MERCEDES GERACHE.  She was born September 18, 1920 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, 
and is still living.

                       iv.           INEZ POLLY6 REEDER (JOSEPH FIFER5, IRVING CHRISTOPHER4, JAMES HARRISON3, JOEL2, JONATHAN1) was born September 03, 1920 in Memphis, Tennessee.  She married MORRIS CLYDE WRIGHT.  He was born August 22, 1914 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
