Amanda Standefer (Standerfer) Maulding

Amanda Standefer Maulding was born March 29, 1858 near Delafield; She died September 25, 1935 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marshall Spivey of Signal Hill, East St. Louis. She was the daughter of John B. and Elizabeth Shirley Standefer. Amanda married Hiram Leslie Maulding February 5, 1879 in Hamilton County. She had six children, three of whom are dead: Ruth, Rella and Annie. Three children survive: Eva May Spivey of E. St. Louis, Eugene Leslie Maulding of St. Louis, MO; and Lelia Troutt of Indianapolis, IN. She leaves one grandson, Quinten E. Spivey; one sister, Mrs. J. R. Dale of Centralia; six brothers: Ebb of Panama City, FL; Ed and Charlie (Standerfer) of Centralia, Robert, Marshall and Trap Standefer all of Hamilton County. Five brothers dead: Jobe, Rube, William, Ham and Frank. She is interred at Blooming Grove Cemetery, Hamilton County, IL.
