Minerva Standifer Converse, was born January 15, 1835 in Marion County, Tennessee, and died June 12, 1907, at the home of her son, O. E. Converse, near Greenfield. When eleven years of age she removed to Missouri with her parents where they died; she then made her home with her aunty, Minerva Parks, north of this city, with whom she continued to reside until her marriage to Uriah Converse, September 20, 1855. To this union five children were born, besides she was a true mother to a daughter of her husband by a former wife. At the early age, ? with the Cumberland Presbyterian church and later joined the M. E. Omega at Rubicon, of which she remained a member until the time of her death.
Funeral services were held at the residence of her son, O. E. Converse on Friday last, the interment being in the North Cemetery.
