Isham Standefer

Isham Standefer, son of Abraham H. and Margaret Johnson Standefer, was born February 3, 1846, near Scottville, Ill and departed this life at the home of his son, Pearl, six miles northwest of Greenfield, Sunday at 9:05 p.m. January 1, 1928, at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 28 days.
He was one of a family of ten children, two of whom survive, namely, Mrs. Theodosia Fair and Joseph Standefer, both of Carrollton.
He was twice married. In early life to Miss Emily Wood, of Athensville. To this union five children were born, two of whom survive. Fred, who lives in Colorado and John, of Hettick.
On April 14, 1886, he united in marriage with Miss Julia Webb, of White Hall vicinity, who passed away April 14, 1922. To this union two children were born, Tony Pearl and Harry Ernest, the latter of whom is deceased.
The funeral services were conducted from Union church Tuesday, January 4, at 1 p.m. and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery there. Rev. Oscar F. Jones, of Greenfield, officiating.
