David
Standiford’s Will
In the name of God Amen.
I David Standiford of the County of
Jefferson and State of Kentucky being in good health of body and of
sound and disposing mind and memory and being desirous of settling my
worldly affairs while I have strength and capacity so to do, do make and
do publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is
to say.
Item first. It is my will
and desire that al my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
Item Second. I give and
bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Standiford all my household and
kitchen furniture to dispose of as she may see fit also one third part
of my real and personal estate during her natural life and the real
estate to include the dwelling house spring orchard garden and so much
more as will make one third of real value to laid off in convenient
form.
Item Third. I give and
bequeath to my step daughter Marian Davis the sum of Two Hundred
Dollars.
Item Fourth. I give and
bequeath to my beloved daughter Margaret Ann Beeler all the
residue of my estate both real and personal during her life and then to
descend to her children which is also to include that portion of my real
estate devised to my wife Nancy Standiford after her death, but should
it become necessary to be of more advantage to the interests of my said
daughter Margaret Ann Beeler or her children to dispose of or sell said
real estate and reinvest the proceeds thereupon in other real estate
there and in that case I hereby appoint my nephew Dr. E. D.
Standiford Trustee to make such sale and reinvestment with the
consent of my said daughter and the said Trustee and my said daughter
are hereby authorized to make such sale and reinvestment with the
consent of my said daughter and the said Trustee and my said daughter
are hereby authorized to make such sale and conveyance as shall pass the
title to said real estate and the trustee to reinvest the proceeds
thereof is such other real estate as shall be of ……………..
