and ELEANOR
RIDDLE. She was born May 1858 in Yancy County, NC, and died in Right
Fork of Greasy Creek, KY.

STANDIFER:
Zachariah
Standifer was born about 1838 in Lee County, Virginia, the son of James and
Sally Standifer. In 1840 in Lee
County, Virginia and 1850 in Hancock County, Tennessee he was enumerated in the
household of his parents. Zachariah,
along with his brother Isaiah, were not enumerated in the 1860 census of Hancock
County.
Shortly
after Araminta died, Zachariah married Rachel Arrowood.
She brought a 7 month old child to the marriage (Mary E.).
Zachariah and Rachel were married in the home of John J. Arrowood in Johnson
Co., KY. Witnesses were John Music
and J. C. Waltons. John J.
Arrowood gave his permission for Rachel to marry, stating that he was her
father. He is listed on the 1880
census for Johnson Co., KY as being a widower, age 59, b. AL.
At that time he is living with daughters: Mary E., age 19, b. KY; Harriet
E., age 17, b. KY; and Alethea, age 12, b. KY).
This census lists John Arrowood as being born in AL. Rachel brought a
young child to her marriage to Zachariah (Mary E.) but there is no record of a
previous marriage.
