Will of Solomon Karcher Solomon
Karcher Will Hamilton Co, IL In
the Name of God Amen, I Solomon Karcher of the county of Hamilton and
State of Illinois, being of sound mind and memory do make ordain and
publish this my last will and testament. First
I will and bequeath that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
That my son, William Karcher have the span of mare mules now 2 year old
past. That my beloved wife Rosa have the remainder of my personal estate
together with the homestead on which I now reside, containing 60 acres
more or less in section one, and the SW 1/4 of the NW qtr and the the NW
1/4 of the SW qtr of Section No. (2), two, all in Township four south of
Range 5 East of the 3rd PM (principal meridian) during her natural life.
At the death of my wife Rosa I will and bequeath out of my estate which
may remain to my daughter Elizabeth, Three Hundred dollars and her equal
interest in the remainder of said real and personal estate. To the heirs
of my daughter Ragena, now dead, I now deliver to her husband, Ignatius
Riling the notes I hold against him, her husband, for money paid to her
and him, by way of advancement in full of their interest in my estate real
and personal. To my other children Emily Riling, Andrew Karcher, Eustace
Yaeger, Victor Karcher, William Karcher and Elizabeth Karcher all that
remains of my real and personal estate remaining at the death of my wife
in equal parts. I also hereby appoint Victor Karcher my son as my Executor
without bond who shall present and have this will probated. And who may if
he thinks best, without appraisement or further expense, deliver to my
wife all of my personal property after paying my debts and funeral
expenses. She receipting to him for same. Signed
