Will of Mary Cook Written: December 18, 1890 Last
Will and Testament of Mary Cook I,
Mary Cook, of the County of Hamilton and State of Illinois of the age of
seventy nine years and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish
and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner following. That
is to Say: First—It
is my will that my debts and funeral expenses be fully paid. Second—After
the payment of said debts and funeral expences I give and bequeath to my
sone, John R. Cook, the sum of one dollar and to my sone, William Cook
one dollar and to my daughter Harriet Wilkey one dollar and to my
daughter Hannah Colbert one dollar and to my sone, Henry Cook all the
remainder of my property of whatever kind it may be whether it be of
household goods, money or other chattels, in considdedration of his
kindness in taking care of me during my old age and afflictions and – Lastly—It
is my will that my said sone, Henry, be the sole executor of this my
Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In
Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the eighteenth
day of December the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
ninty. ____Mary

above instrument was at the date thereof signed, sealed, published and
declared by the said Mary Cook as and for her Last Will and Testament in
presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the
presence of her have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto the above
instrument was at the date thereof declared by Mary Cook, the Testator
wherein mentioned to be her Last Will and Testament and she at the same
time acknowledged to us and each of us that she had signed and sealed
the same and we therefore at her request and in her presence and in the
presence of each other signed our names thereto as attesting witnesses. _______Eli
