John and Ann Gerdle Townsend Hays

John Hays

John, born May 15, 1818 in Green Co., TN,  was the son of Ruban and Mary Carter Hays.
He died September 6, 1892 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., IL and is buried on the 
Old Townsend/Hays farm there.

Ann Gerdle Townsend

Born July 27, 1824, Ann Gerdle was the daughter of John and Sophia Hogg Townsend.  
She was the grand daughter of Samuel Hogg.  She married John Hays July 11, 1841 in Hamilton Co., IL.
  Ann died March 7, 1889 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., IL 
and is buried on the Old Townsend/Hays Farm there.
