Mr. and Mrs. John T. Erkmann lived on the Heady Erkamnn Farm just west of th eold coal min in McLeansboro.  They were the parents of eight children: William Edward, Wilburn Ray, Willma Fay, John R., Opal, Frida Ailene, Edith Pearl and Jessee Ermann.  John was farmer.  Both are buried side by side at the McLeansboro I.O.O.F. cemetery.
