Elisha, Jr. and Sarah "Sallie" (Gordon) Sanders.
| Elisha, Jr. and Sarah
"Sallie" (Gordon) Sanders came to Hamilton Co., IL
in1862 from Jackson Co., TN. along with their seven sons and two
daughters. They made this trip in an Ox drawn wagon. Elisha was
born in Jackson Co., TN about 1816 and died in McLeansboro January 27,
1891. Sarah was born in Jackson Co., TN also about 1816, and her
death date is unknown. Both were buried in the north side of the
Hopewell Baptist Cemetery, Hamilton Co., IL.
