Capt. L. W. Cremeens
*Note: Linville W. Cremens and Lindsey W. Creemens were brothers and both were attorneys. During the Civil War, Linville and younger brother, Moses, served in the 100th IL INF and Lindsey served in the 136th IL INF as a Captain and later was referred to as Capt. L. W. Cremeens.
Linville died in 1875 and Lindsey lived another 20 years until 1895. Both men lived in Belle Rive in later life.

Cremeens, Linville W., born October 1838 in Jackson Co., OH; died 22 May 1875 at
his residence in Belle Rive (Jefferson Co., IL); son of B. L. Cremeens of
Macedonia; brother of L. W. Cremeens, Esq of McLeansboro. Moved with
father to Franklin Co., IL in October 1854; lived there till 1862, then in Civil
War.

Linville W. Cremeens married Maria Ann Carlton October 14, 1860. He married Jeannie Miller in July 1866.
