60th Wedding Celebration

Pauline (Heard) and Edward Bradac of Grayslake, Illinois were married 60 years on October 11, 2000.  They met in Chicago and were married October 11, 1940.  They resided in Chicago until they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas during World War II.  They then returned to the Chicago area and purchased their first home in Northlake.  In 1960 they moved to their present home on Gages Lake,

Ed Bradac has been a licensed pharmacist for 60 years and finally retired at the age of 83.  Pauline was a beautician with her own shop for many years.  The couple has attended the Wildwood Presbyterian Church for 40 years.

The couple's children are Joan (Melvin) Bodenlos of Gurnee, Illinois, Lynn (Richard McDowell of Woodstock, Illinois and Ed Bradac Jr. of Las Vegas, NV.

An anniversary celebration was held on Sunday, November 12th at the Woodland Creek Club House in Wheeling.  In attendance were all children, grandchildren and great grandchildren plus numerous friends and relatives.

Note: Pauline is a descendant of many Hamilton County families and has been researching these families for over 25 years.  She was researching when it was not a popular hobby and accessibility to records was very limited.  She has written hundreds of letters by hand over the years and mailed thousands of pages of information to other researchers.  Other family names include: Heard, Lynn, Webb, Farris, Gilman, Moore, McAdams and Drew.
