October 4, 1906:   Thurber.

  Joseph Allen spent Wednesday in McLeansboro.

  Miss Eliza Campbell is visiting Misses Nora and Anna Carroll.

  Ms. Ina Daws spent Thursday with her sister, Mrs. Willie Biggerstaff

  Misses Pearl Boyer and Maggie Sneed visited Miss Ethel Ray Sunday.

  Miss Maggie Campbell visited her cousin, Miss Ella Campbell, Monday night.

  Elvis Arterberry spent Sunday evening with Uncle Wesley Ray and family.

  There was no school at Sneed Thursday on account of the death of Mrs. Garrison.

 George Benedict and Miss Maggie Campbell attended the ice cream supper 
 Wednesday night.

  Mr. Arthur Hesler and family of West Frankfort, are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
 G. H. Hesler.

  Fred Duncan and family, of Dale, visited his mother, Mrs. Martha Duncan, Saturday 
 night and Sunday.

  The following persons are on the sick list: Jasper Arterberry, Uncle James Prince
 Mrs. Ina Daws and Misses Effie and Verna Malone.

  Miss Lula Campbell who has been spending the last few days with Miss Ethel and  
 Mrs. Hannah Ray
returned to her home in McLeansboro Thursday.

 October 11, 1906: Thurber

  Maggie Sneed spent Sunday with Neva Hesler.

  Aunt Charlotte Ray visited Mrs. Hesler Sunday.

  Chester Arterberry attended Sunday school Sunday.

  Miss Ida Duncan spent Sunday with Miss Ethel Ray.

  Mrs. Mark Sneed visited Mrs. Andy Campbell Thursday.

  Miss Maudie Duncan visited Maggie Sneed Friday night.

  P. F. Hesler is spending a few days with Mrs. Hesler and family.

  Miss Laura Stevens visited Miss Maggie Campbell Sunday evening.

  Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer went shopping at Thurber Monday.

  Mrs. Emma Boyer and Master Paul spent Saturday in McLeansboro.

  Misses Maudie and Ida Duncan and Ethel Ray made a business trip to Dale Monday.

  Bro. Hamilton will preach at Harbor on Saturday night before the 3rd Sunday, also on 
 Sunday at 11 o’clock.

  Calley Sneed returned from Shawneetown Sunday.  He will spend the week at home and 
 return to work.

  Bro. Shook will preach at Harbor on Saturday evening, Saturday night, Sunday and 
 Sunday 
 night on the 4th Saturday night and Sunday of each month.

  Mr. Beal has moved his family to the farm recently vacated by Mr. Reagon.  Mr. Beal 
 comes highly recommended and everyone seems glad to welcome them in our 
 neighborhood.

  Sunday school was reorganized at Harbor Sunday and the following persons were elected:  
 Supt. Bro. Wisely; Asst. Wm. Allen; Sec. And Treas. Maggie Campbell.  Mrs. 
 And Mrs. Lonnie Prince, Mrs. Ina Daws and Maggie Sneed
were elected teacher.  
 Miss Ethel Ray
was appointed to lead the singing and John Ray to take care of the 
 literature.  Let everybody come.  Remember the time, 9:30 o’clock every Sunday.
