MCLEANSBORO
CITY LIGHTS
From the McLeansboro
(Ill.) Times
McLeansboro is now experiencing a water famine. The city water
supply was shut off Monday on account of the wells at the Fairgrounds
failing to furnish water; with all night's prompting they will not furnish
more than sixteen hundred gallons. We now have $28,000 tied up in a
waterworks system that is practically useless. The city council
should at once take steps to bore more wells or make some provisions
whereby they can furnish water to the city.
