Miss Harper Married

          Friends in Worden have learned of the marriage of Miss Mabel M. Harper of McLeansboro and Paul Barr of Worden, at Vandalia, Sunday June 5, at noon.  The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Christman at the First Baptist Church.

          The attendants were Miss Jennie Barr and Mathias Chapman of Worden.  The bride was attired in a pretty dress of powder blue flat crepe with hat to match.  Miss Barr wore a dress of pink flat crepe.

          Mrs. Barr is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Harper of McLeansboro.  She was employed as clerk at the Illinois Southern Telephone Co. at McLeansboro.  The groom is a miner and was employed at the mine at Edwardsville.

         The couple are residing in McLeansboro at present, but will later reside in Worden.
