Note from Stevie Hughes:
FROM FRANKLIN COUNTY RESEARCHER, JUDY COUEY’S WORK, SEVERAL OF THE
ABOVE CIVIL WAR VETERANS ARE SAID TO BE BURIED AT “LOGAN CEMETERY”.
I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT “LOGAN CEMETERY” IS THE SAME
CEMETERY AS THE MACEDONIA METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY, BUT IT CERTAINLY APPEARS TO
BE THE CASE. THE FOLLOWING CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS ARE INTERRED AT “LOGAN”
ACCORDING TO MS. COUEY, BUT GRAVESTONES HAVE NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED AT THE
MACEDONIA METHODIST CEMETERY. IN THE INTEREST OF HONORING ALL SOLDIERS POSSIBLY
INTERRED HERE, I HAVE APPENDED THEIR NAMES TO THE ROSTER:
ANDREWS,
Tillman MD Infantry
COZART,
John A. 87th IL
Infantry
GRAY,
John 15th IL
Cavalry Co. F
INGRAM,
Frank Civil war unit unknown
MEADOWS,
Robert R. 110th IL
Infantry
PRICE,
William 40th IL
Infantry Co. F
SULLIVAN,
Joseph 40th IL Infantry
Co F and 60th IL Infantry Co. D
VICE
(VISE?), Dan 13th Il
Cavalry Co. H
