Claudius Standiford (c1780-1878), son of Jacob and Elizabeth Robinson Standiford.
Claudius married Cordelia Hitchcock on December 17, 1805 in Harford Co., MD.

The survivor's pension request was rejected by reason of "insufficient service".
"Report from 3 auditors, says, 'the rolls of Capt. John Smithson Co., Md. Mil., show that
Claudius Staniford, Private, served from 38th Aug 1814 to 26th Sept 1814, and from 12th
of Oct, to 27th of Oct 1814, and 1 days travel.' Length of service but, 47 days."

Claudius' pension was originally denied but under the revised statutes, and the
Act of March 9, 1878, he was approved. He received a pension of $8.00 per month.

Three documents -- Slow to load, but worth it!
