William Standifer. b. August 1824 - ? Lee Co., VA; m. Elizabeth Jones March 5, 1847, Claiborne Co., TN. Pvt Co., C, 29th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry. Enlisted in the Confederate Army July 5, 1861 at Cumberland Gap. Wounded in the Battle of Chickamonga. Disabled from wounds received in battle and furloughed to Dalton, GA on Jan. 15, 1864. He appears on a Roll of Prisoners of War and paroled at Cumberland Gap, KY by Col. William Y. Dillard, 34th KY Infantry Volunteers on April 25, 1865. He returned to Hancock Co., TN. *Contributed by Dale Standifer
Calvin Jasper Standifer. b. July 27, 1848, Floyd Co., KY; d. Nov. 21, 1911, Red Lodge, MT; m. Mary Nancy C. Watson, July 3, 1872 in Collin Co., TX. Pvt., Co. C, 29th Regiment, TN Infantry. He enlisted in the Confederate Army January 20, 1863 (as a substitute for John Standifer) at Tazewell, TN. He was transferred from "C" Company to "D" Company 29th Regiment, TN Infantry in October of 1863. He appears on a Registry of patients in Ocmulgee Hospital, Macon, GA July 23, 1864 (Diarrhea) and was transferred July 23, 1864. His residence is listed as Hancock Co., TN; son of William Standifer. *Contributed by Dale Standifer
Isaiah Standifer. b. April 8, 1835/36 in Lee Co., VA; d. October 25, 1916 in Farmersville, Collin Co., TX.; m. Mary Ann Jones October 1, 1855 in Hancock Co., TN. Pvt., Co. "D", 29th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry. He enlisted in the Confederate Army on August 13, 1861 in Henderson Mills, TN. He is listed as missing in action during the Battle of Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863. He appears on a Roll of Prisoners of War at Nashville, TN. He was captured by forces under command of Major General Thomas, comdg. Dept. Cumberland and forward to Capt. S. E. Jones, Pro. Mar. at Louisville, KY December 5, 1863. He was captured November 25, 1863 at Missionary Ridge. Isaiah was discharged December 6, 1863 to Rock Island, IL on December 10, 1863. He took the Oath of Allegiance at Rock Island, IL.barracks and enlisted into Co. "C", 3rd Regiment U. S. Volunteer Infantry on October 14, 1864. He enlisted under the name of Isaiah Stanford, but an investigation by the Record and Pension Office has determined that his true name is Isaiah Standifer and a Discharge Certificate as of that name was furnished to his attorney on Oct. 14, 1893. He served on the Western Frontier. He appears on a Co. Muster-out Roll at Fort Leavenworth, KS November 29, 1865 and he mustered-out November 29, 1865. He was last paid on June 30, 1865. He returned to Hancock Co., TN for one year and then back to Lee Co., VA for four years. At that time he went to Texas where he spent the rest of his life in Farmersville, Co., Collin Co, and Meret, Hunt Co., TX. He was a brother of William Standifer.*Contributed by Dale Standifer

This company, John M. Bridgeman, Captain, reach Camp Cummings, Knoxville, on Friday.
Sequatchie Valley has the honor of furnishing the finest Cavalry Company that has
yet entered the service. We have the pleasure of an acquaintance with most of the
officers and members, and will go bail that if they are put at the right place they will
not be long in giving the enemy a taste of their capacity. The name, "Tulloss
Rangers", is in the compliment of Co. James A. Tulloss, of Pikeville, for his liberal
aid in money and other respects in behalf of the Company. The Company is handsomely
uniformed, at an expense of some fifteen hundred dollars, contributed by a few patriotic
citizens of Bledsoe. Below is a list of the officers and privates. Muster Roll
