Clarence Earl Standerfer

Obituary from the Times-Leader, pub. November 28, 1963. Clarence Earl Standerfer was born April 6, 1890 in Hamilton County.  He died November 6, 1963 in the hospital in McLeansboro.  He was the son of Job and Rebecca Trotter Standerfer.  Clarence married May Trotter (d. 1920).  His second marriage was to Joyce May House Johnson on November 28, 1941.  He leaves his wife; son: Darrel Standerfer of Bartonville; two daughters: Mrs. Zelma Golden of Vandalia and Mrs. Eleanor Underwood of Springfield; step-son: Glenn E. Johnson of Lockport.  Two sisters (dead): Mattie Weidner and Laura Bolerjack and a brother Kelly Standerfer.  He is interred in Crouch Cemetery in McLeansboro, IL.

Martha May Trotter Standerfer

Obituary from the Times of Hamilton Co., pub. February 26, 1920.  Martha May Trotter Standerfer was born August 26, 1892 in Hamilton Co.   She died February 21, 1920 at her home near Delafield.  She was the daughter of William R. and Martha J. (Thomason) Trotter.  She married C. E. Standerfer on April 26, 1911.  Three children.  She leaves husband, one son and two daughters, parents, five sisters: Cora, Cecelia, Katherine, Viola and Gladys.  She is interred at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in McLeansboro, IL.

Joycie House Johnson Standerfer

Obit Extract from the Times-Leader of McLeansboro, IL; pub. September 9, 1976.  Joycie House Johnson Standerfer, age 86 years, died September 1, 1976 at the Methodist Home in Lawrenceville.  She was a former resident of Macedonia and the daughter of James R. and Nancy Morris House.  She married first Elmer Johnson (dead) and second Clarence Standerfer (dead).  She leaves son: Glenn Johnson of Benton; two step children: W. D. Standerfer of Bartonville and Mrs. Zelma Golden of Centralia; sister: Mrs. Ruth Crosno of Benton; two brothers: Guy House of Benton and Dr. Bert House of Herrin.  She is interred at Macedonia Cemetery in Hamilton Co., IL.
