Phebe Standifer Ake

Phebe Standifer was born about 1814 in
Alabama
and said to part Cherokee Indian.
One tradition says that Phoebe was a foundling left behind by Cherokees and
adopted by the Standifers.
Two sources are given for her marriage to Claiborn Ake.
From the Arkansas Gazette, the marriage is listed on 17 Jul 1834 in Washington
Co., AR.
From Arkansas Marriages (Ancestry) the marriage is list in Washington Co., AR on
August 12, 1834.
This marriage appears there in the Pulaski County Notes.
Phebe Standifer Ake died in Georgetown, Texas.
