(Abstract)
James B. Tennison was born July 6, 1841 and died October 4, 1911 at his home north of
Dahlgren. He married Sarah E. Bridges, January 12, 1860; two children.
He married Nancy Standerfer April 27, 1865; ten children; eight survive.
He married Manda Fields October 4, 1900.
He is interred at Blooming Grove Cemetery, Dahlgren, Hamilton County, Illinois.

Calvin Walker Tennison was born December 24, 1868 near Dahlgren; died May 18, 1940 at his home in Belle Prairie; oldest son of James B. and Nancy Standerfer Tennison. Eight siblings, six survive: Mrs. Mary Williams of Santa Ana, CA; Frank Tennison and Mrs. Hattie Trotter both of Dahlgren; Emanuel Tennison of Seminole, OK; Mrs. Bertha Hart of Delafield and Mrs. Ethel Trotter of Essex, MO. He married Rachel Griffith about 1886. Eight children: Henry died in France in 1918; John died in 1928; Six children survive: Robert, Charles, Gilmer, William and Roy Tennison all of Belle Prairie and Mrs. Della Trotter of Arcola. {Abstract info.: b. December 18, 1870 in AR.; d. May 23, 1955 at his home south of McLeansboro, IL. He was the son of Isham and Mary Tedford Trotter. Four children; one dead. Leaves widow; two sons: Earl & Paul Trotter both of McLeansboro; one daughter, Opal Cross of Dahlgren; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Compton and Mrs. Joseph Williams both of Dahlgren. He is interred at Blooming Grove cemetery.}Henry Parkhurst Trotter, age 79, died at his home in Dahlgren of a heart attack on Sunday, July 10. Trotter, a retired railroader, was born in Hamilton County on February 16, 1876 and married Hattie E. Tennison in 1895. He is survived by his widow, two sons, Earl and Paul of McLeansboro, and one daughter, Mrs. Opal Cross of Dahlgren. Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Compton and Mrs. Joseph Williams of Dahlgren also survive. Services were held, Wednesday, July 12 at the First Baptist chruch of Dahlgren with the Rev. John B. Maulding in charge. Burial was in Blooming Grove Cemetery. The Gholson Grigg Funeral home was in charge.

Bertha Ann Tennyson Hart was born October 25, 1884 in Hamilton Co. and died February 25, 1971 in hospital in McLeansboro. She was the daughter of James B. and Nancy Standerfer Tennyson. She married John H. Hart, February 10, 1903. She leaves four sons: Omar and Edgar Hart of Chicago, James O. and Flord Virgil Hart both of McLeansboro; two daughters: Mrs. Wilma Ingram and Mrs. Velma Allen both of McLeansboro.
