Obituary
L
arkin Cantrell Waller

From: Times; March 29, 1928

Larkin Cantrell Waller was born near Odle School, Hamilton County, April 25, 1833.  He died March 21, 19928, at home, where he had lived for 60 years.

He was married to Nancy E. Lane in April 1859.  To this union, 11 children were born, six boys and five girls.  Of this number, five are still living: Sarah Ann, Larkin, Uriah, William, Erastus.  All of his life was spent in Flannigan township.  If he had lived until April 25, he would have been 95 years old.

He never attached himself to any church, but was always ready to contribute to same and any other worthy cause.  He had no fear of the judgment.  He was ready and willing to die but first the separation of loved ones for a while was his only sorrow.  In his loss, we feel that the children have lost a kind and loving father, the grandchildren a faithful grandfather, and the neighbors a true and tried friend.

He leaves to mourn the above named children, thirty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, besides a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services at Little Springs, March 22, conducted by T. B. Hunt and D. H. Knight.
