Daniel Trout
(1834-1923)
Unknown newspaper. Daniel Trout was born August 30, 1834 in Hamilton County, Illinois and resided there all his life. Departed this life February 11, 1923, age 77 years, 6 months and 11 days. He enlisted in the union army in 1864 and served his country faithfully through the remainder of the war. He was united in marriage to Hannah P. Hutcheson March 4, 1866. To this union were born 12 children, six boys and six girls, namely: P. A. Trout, Broughton; J. A. Trout, McLeansboro; Eddie Mick, Dale; Mary Lensay, McLeansboro; Martha Trobaugh, McLeansboro; Allie Trobaugh, Carrier Mills. His wife and six children having preceded him to the great beyond. He professed faith in Christ 37 years ago and united with the Missionary Baptist Church. Later, he changed his membership to the Christian church at Dale, was one of the charter members of that church. He leaves to mourn his departure one step-son, W. H. Hutcheson, one brother, George Trout of Dale; 33 grand children; 15 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. T. B. Hunt.
