EDITH THOMPSON MCLEANSBORO Funeral services for Edith
L. Thompson, 61, Route 3, McLeansboro, were held at 1 p.m. Sunday,
Mar. 22 at the Gholson Funeral Home here with the Rev. Ernie Essary
officiating. Burial followed
in Hopewell Cemetery here. She died at 3:30 a.m.
Friday, March 20 in Hamilton Memorial Hospital. A housewife, Mrs.
Thompson was born in Hamilton County on October 15, 1919 – the daughter
of the late Isam & Mattie “Hargrove” Essary.
She was married to
Millage Thompson—who survives. She was a member of the
Dale Christian Church. Survivors in addition to
her husband include four sons; Larry, Eldorado; Jimmy, Aurora, Bob,
currently servicing in the U. S. Army; Rex, McLeansboro; three daughters,
Mrs. Vera Smith, Mrs. Verla Langley and Miss Teresa Thompson all of
McLeansboro; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. |
