OBITUARY

Joel M. Sullivan departed this life at his home in Hamilton County, Illinois, on November 15, 1917, aged 73 years, 11 months and 10 days. Bro. Sullivan left to mourn his death his widow, Gennette Sullivan and five children, Ellla Cullins, Heron A. Sullivan, Lewis Sullivan, Myra Hungate, Beatrice Sullivan. Luther Sullivan who preceded his father to the Great Beyond. Twenty three grandchildren and thirteen great grand children.
Brother Sullivan served his country for three years in the Civil War in the 60th Ill Vol Inf, with credit to himself and honor to his country. Bro. Sullivan was a member of the A. F. & A. M. and the I.O.O.F. lodges of Macedonia, Ill. and was buried with the honors of the fraternity after holding religious services by the Rev. Arthur Bell who resided near his home, with a large attendance at his Funeral. Bro. Sullivan was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Jos. Sullivan died last night at his home near Antioch church. Mr. Sullivan was a good man and those who knew hime knew him but to love and esteem him. Mr. Sullivan has been a sufferer for many years but through these years he never complained but was always cheerful. Jos. will be missed by many friends and relatives. Another good man is gone.
