Sinks Published: Times-Leader, March 4, 1982 Funeral services for Ralph
Sinks, 74, of McLeansboro, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 1982,
at Endsley Funeral Home, Peoria with the Rev. Ernest Flowers officiating.
Burial followed in Springdale Cemetery, Peoria.
Johnson Funeral Home here was in charge of local arrangements. He died at 2:15 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 25,1982. Retired owner of dry
cleaners in Pekin and East Alton, Mr. Sinks was born Oct. 13, 1907 in
Hamilton County the son of the late Wm. Henry & Mollie “Coffman”
Sinks. He was married to the
former Gladys Maston, who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of WWII
serving in the Army and a member of Braden Valley General Baptist Church. Survivors include three
brothers, Earl, McLeansboro, Everett, East Alton and Robert Sinks, East
Peoria, four sisters, Mrs. Veneta Hight, Mrs. Maxine Barton, Mrs.
Bernadean Chouch all of Peoria and Mrs. Ruby Herring, San Diego,
California. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister |
