Susan Carr.  Susan, daughter of Daniel and Betsy Carr, was born January 1, 1852 in Putnam county, Tenn.

She was married to J. B. Phillips April 28, 1875, and to this union two children were born, Lucy Phillips Swank and Geo. A. Phillips.  She died at her home February 1, 1923, aged 72 years.

She leaves to mourn their loss an invalid husband, two children, three sisters, three grandchildren.  One sister and three brothers having preceded her to the great beyond.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with Ten Mile church.  Her greatest desire was that she might live to car for her invalid husband.  Her life was above reproach.

Funeral services at Ten Mile conducted by Elder John B. Maulding, Friday, Feb. 2nd.  Interment in Ten Mile cemetery.

Carol's note:  Daniel Williamson Carr was born 1821 in TN, the son of William Harrison Carr and Martha Rice.  He died October 15, 1897 in Knights Prairie Township, Hamilton Co. He was a brother to Albert Fielding Carr of Hamilton Co., IL. Daniel married Elizabeth "Betsey" Harper abt 1844 in TN. She was the daughter of George Washington Harper and Susannah Mansell.
