MOTHER OF GEORGE NIPPER, 84 DIES AT FARM HOME

May 22, 1951

Mrs. Parthenia “Aunt Ellen” Nipper, 84 widow of Thomas L. Nipper and mother of George Nipper of this city, died at 2:50 o’clock yesterday at her farm home, near “Nipper’s Corner”, in Hamilton County, near McLeansboro.

Mrs. Nipper, a native of Hamilton County, suffered a second stroke of paralysis in January, 1950, and had been bedfast for seven months.  She lived with a daughter, Mrs. Earl Hood.

She is survived by three other sons, Winfred Nipper of Chester, A.E. Nipper of Jefferson, Oklahoma, and Elvus Nipper of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The body is lying in state at the Sanders funeral home in McLeansboro.

Funeral arrangements today were incomplete, awaiting arrival of the sons.

  RITES FOR MOTHER OF GEORGE NIPPER ARE HELD

Funeral rites for “Aunt Ellen” Nipper, aged mother of George Nipper of this city, who died last Tuesday at her farm home in Hamilton county, near McLeansboro, were held this afternoon at Webb’s chapel, near McLeansboro.  Burial was in IOOF cemetery at McLeansboro.
