JAMES MAULDING DIES AT THE AGE OF 79 YEARS
James Maulding was born April 22, 1838, and died Nov 1, 1917, aged 70 years, 6 months and 9 days. Mr. Maulding was the son of Garrett and Julia Maulding, who were among Hamilton County's earliest settlers.
Mr. Maulding and Miss Margaret Monchester were married Nov. 7, 1859, and lived happily until Mrs. Maulding's death, July 26, 2898. The surviving children are: Mrs. Florence B. Brisbane of Denver, Colo., James E. Maulding of Washington, D. C. and Homer E. Maulding of Dahlgren, Ill. Two brothers and one sist4er also are left behind: Theodore and G. H. Maulding, and Mrs. A. A. Wright of Guthrie, Okla. Mrs. Wright is the mother of our fellow townsman, C. C. Wright.
Some nine years ago, Mr. Maulding married Mrs. Ana L. Hall, who survives him. To her and his children and friends we would extend our sympathy. Jim Maulding lives and will continue to live in the memories of his old time friends and none of us can recall a single dishonorable act committed by him.
