Ambrose Maulding

Ambrose Maulding,  was born June 24, 1838 and died at his home in this city August 6, 1918, age 80 years, 1 month and 13 days.  He was married to Mary Katharine Turner July 3, 1859.  To this union was born six children; four of whom have preceded him to the great Beyond.

He was again married to Clara Carrol January 28, 1907.  To this union was born one child who died in infancy.

The decease was converted August 8, 1917, at Springerton, and lived a faithful and devoted Christian until death.  He remarked in his last hours that he was ready to go and prepared to meet his God.

He leaves to mourn their loss a wife, two sons besides a host of friends and relatives.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Hooker at Blooming Grove Wednesday, August 7, where his remains were laid to rest.
