Mary Lena Daws Lavin, was born November 18, 1900 in Hamilton County, Illinois and died January 1, 1994 in Carmi, Illinois at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center.  Mary Lena was the only child of Eliza May (Ina) Campbell and Sylveter M. Daws, both of Hamilton County, Illinois.  She married Louis Lavin of Chicago, Illinois on November 21, 1925, who preceded her in death.  Survivors are two children, James Lavin and Mary Lou Jacobson, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She is interred beside her mother at I.O.O.F in McLeansboro, Illinois.
