Logan Lampley, 83, of 1204 Glendale Street in Benton, died May 13, 1984 at Franklin Hospital. Mr. Lampley, a resident of Franklin County most of his life, was a native of Hamilton County, born March 10, 1901, to John and Nancy (Irby) Lampley. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist church and was a member for more than 50 years of Macedonia Masonic Lodge 1128. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Hobbs) Lampley and two sons, William E. Lampley, Benton, Rt. 2 and John V. Lampley, Steger. He also leaves six grandchildren, six great grandchildren; two brothers, Harmon Lampley of Kankakee, Hogan Lampley of Elgin and a sister, Loma Moore, Benton. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Clarence Ruemmler, officiating. Interment will be in Brady Cemetery at Akin. Visitation at funeral home will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. The Macedonia Masonic Lodge rites will be at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. |
