Philip Marion LAGER, 68 of McLeansboro, died at 11:05 a.m. June 30, 1990 at Marion V. A. Hospital, Marion Il. Philip Lager was a farmer and a bus driver. He was born March 14, 1922, in Franklin County, as son of Barney and Euthope (Wingo) Lager. On January 18, 1941, he married Mildred (Neunlist), who survives. Funeral services were held July 2, 1990, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Ernie Essary officiating. Burial followed in Digby Hill Cemetery. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Philip E. Lager of Benton; one daughter, Jannette Lager of Harrisburg; two sisters; Mary Rowland of McLeansboro and Helen Moore of Benton; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Philip Lager was of the protestant faith and a member of the American Legion Post # 109 of Norris city. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
