From: Wayne County Press, January 23 & 27, 1958 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR LAFE PERRY Lafe Perry, 78, of Wayne City, died at Memorial Hospital at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. He had been hospitalized since Sunday. The body was returned to the Richardson funeral home in Wayne City. Funeral arrangements were incomplete. Funeral Services for Lafe Perry, retired Wayne Co. farmer, were held from the Aden General Baptist Church Friday afternoon, with Rev. Lute Clark officiating. Interment was in Garrison Cemetery. Mr. Perry, 82, died at Memorial Hospital here early Wednesday afternoon. The Richardson Funeral Home had charge of rites. He was born in Hamilton County, the son of Dick and Mary Perry. Mr. Perry was married to Liza McFarland, who survives. He was a retired minister of the Aden General Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Cecil of Chester and George of Wayne City; two brothers, Ira and Iva, both of East St. Louis; and one sister; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
