Wilford D. JOHNSON, 73, of Macedonia died Friday at Franklin Hospital in Benton.

Mr. Johnson was a life long resident of Hamilton County, was a partner in a grocery store operation at Route 14 and Macedonia Road.  He was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church

He is survived by his wife Versa (Hall) Johnson; six sons, Keith, Delbert, Lloyd, Gordon, Jerry and Kenneth and one daughter Mrs. Coney (Vera) Crain,

He also leaves eight grandchildren and five step grandchildren.  And two step great grandchildren. Two brothers; Everett and Willard Johnson and three sisters, Nellie Fowler, Dorothy Browning and Golda Miller.

His parents were the late, Clarence and Dora (Meadows) Johnson, while he was also preceded in death by one brother, Guy Johnson, one grandson and one step grandson.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

The rev. Bruce rushing officiating will burial in Macedonia cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. today.
