ALBERT AMOS HYATT
Albert Amos Hyatt was born in Elkton, Bond County, Ohio, on April 18, 1843, passed away at McLeansboro July 20, 1922. He enlisted in the army in 1863 and was honorably discharged at the close of the war.
In 1870 he came to McLeansboro from Benton and established a lumber business, which he conducted until 1911, when he sold his business to F. R. Wilson and retired.
In 1872 he was married to Mary Virginia Rathbone. He leaves besides his widow, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Floro of Ewing; four children, Mrs. George Foote, O. H. Hyatt, Mrs. W. A. Travis all of McLeansboro, and J. A. Hyatt of Kansas City, Mo., also four grand children, Albert Foote, Gilbert, Katharine and Virginia Hyatt.
The funeral services were held from his home on Jackson street Monday morning, July 31st at ten o'clock, conducted by the Reverend H. S. Miller of New Castle, Ind.
