Celia A. Willis Hutchcraft

Unknown newspaper.

CELIA A. WILLIS, was born March 21, 1848, in Hamilton County (to Elias S. and Harriet Gatland Willis) and died February 12, 1911.  She was married to Wm. Harrison Hutchcraft January 1, 1871.  To this union five children, four boys and one girl, all of whom survive her but one boy, Oscar, and her husband, who have preceded her to the better land.  She professed faith in Christ when quite young and was one of the charter members of Friendly-Zion Church, and remained a true and faithful Christian till the end.

She was a kind a loving mother.  And as it has pleased the all-wise Creator to take her from us our loss is her eternal gain.  There lives to mourn their loss four children, John, Thomas E., Charles and Mrs. Stella Johnson, sixteen grandchildren, two sisters, four brothers, and one half-brother besides a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.F. Bosley and J.B. Hall, at Friendly Zion Church.  The remains were laid to rest in the Garrison cemetery to wait the resurrection morn.
