From: Unknown Newspaper Johnie M. Hutchcraft, 75, of McLeansboro, Ill. died Sunday, April 10, 1988 at 6:30 a.m. at the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Robin Lyons and Rev. Rudolph Burnett will be officiating. Burial will be in the Veteran's section of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, and visitation will be from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. tonight. Full military rites will be given by the American Legion Post 106 of McLeansboro. Mr. Hutchcraft was born December 27, 1912, in Wayne County, Ill., the son of Thomas and Sena Thomason Clark Hutchcraft. He was married on December 10, 1940 to Doris Hall who survives. Mr. Hutchcraft was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro; a retired work for Texaco Inc.; and a veteran of the European Theatre of the second World War. He received a purple heart with oak leaf cluster. He was a member of the Egyptian Gateway Disabled American Veterans in Centralia, and the McLeansboro American Legion Post No. 106. He is survived by one son, Stanley M. Hutchcraft of Shawneetown, Ill. and two daughters; Mrs. Carol Shelton of Wayne City, and Mrs. Diane Smith of Thompsonville. He is also survived by one brother, Sessel Clark of Dahlgren and one sister, Mrs. Celia Moore of Tremont, Il. Four grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren also survive. |
