        Albert Hayes of Wappapello Died Saturday.

        Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. today for Albert Lewis Hayes, 79-year-old resident of Wappapello, who died in a rest home in Qulin Saturday. Services were held in the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Robert Wallace officiated and burial was in the Mole Hill Cemetery near Broseley.

        Albert Hayes was born in McLeansboro, Ill. on March 24, 1891. A former resident of Broseley, he was affiliated with the Church of Christ there. On Dec. 5, 1914, he was married to Laura Morris, she survives.

        Other survivors include four sons Orel and Verlin Hayes, both of Wappapello, Leo Hayes, of Poplar Bluff, and Linnis Hayes of Decatur, Ill. 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren: four sisters, Mrs. Snowey Wells of Fisk, Mrs. Hazel Phillips of Durango, Calif., and Maggie Landreth of Poplar Bluff, and Mrs. Minnie Hamilton of California; two brothers, Charlie Hayes of Fisk and Virgil of Davenport, Iowa.

        Albert Lewis Hayes the son of the late Lewis and Annie Smith Hayes was born at McLeansboro, IL. March 24, 1891 and passed away at Qulin, Missouri, December 19, 1970 at the age of 79 years, 9 months, and 15 days. Mr. Hayes formerly lived in Broseley area and had lived in Butler County most of his life. He resided at Wappapello at the time of his death. He was a retired farmer. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Broseley.

        Dec. 5, 1914 he was married to Laura Morris and to this union 6 children were born. 2 children preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Hayes of Wappapello, 4 sons, Orel and Verlin Hayes of Wappapello, MO., Leo Hayes of Poplar Bluff, MO., and Linnis Hayes of Decatur, IL. 15 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.4 sisters, Mrs. Snowey Wells of R. 1, Fisk Mrs. Hazel Phillips of Durango, Calif., Mrs. Maggie Landreth of Poplar Bluff, MO., and Mrs. Minnie Hamilton of Calif., 2 brothers Charlie Hayes of Fisk, MO. and Virgil Hayes of Davenport, Iowa. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

        Funeral services will be held Mon. Dec. 21, 1970 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert Wallace of Puxico officiating. Interment in the Mole Hill Cemetery near Broseley.
