         Mrs. Margaret Hayes, daughter of J. W. and S. E. Hall, was born in Hamilton county September 4, 1859, and departed this life at her home near Walpole, October 7, 1917, aged 58 years, 1 month and 3 days.  She was married to John O. Hayes November 26, 1878.  To this union were born three children, all of whom preceded her to the better world.

She professed faith in Christ in an early day and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church at Hebron, and lived a consistent Christian until death.

About two years ago her health began to fail and all that medical skill and loving hands could do was done for relief, but for months she born her suffering patiently.

She leaves to mourn their loss a loving husband, an aged father, three brothers and two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.  It is sweet to realize that their loss is her eternal gain.

Her remains were laid to rest in the Hebron cemetery.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cowdger of Galatia.
