OBITUARY

        Archibald A. Faulkner, son of James and Caroline Flint Faulkner, was born Sept. 9, 1865, in Hamilton County, Illinois; departed this life at his home in McLeansboro, Ill., December 13, 1942, at the age o 77 years, 3 months and 4 days.

        On July 27, 1886, he was married to Edith Campbell.  To this union ten children were born, two dying in infancy.  Two sons, James and George, died in 1926.  His wife died in 1939.  Verna died in 1940.

        The surviving children are John, of St. Louis, Mo., Rev, of McLeansboro , Ill., Mrs. Lena Pribble, of Anna, Ill., Mrs. R. L. Nourie, of San Diego, Calif.., Mrs. Hillard Tyler, of McLeansboro, Ill.

         Besides the above named children he leaves seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

        He was the oldest member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.  He had been in failing health for some time, but bore his afflictions with patience and often expressed his willingness to go.  He was converted at an early age and professed faith in Christ until he was called away.

        Funeral services were held at Hopewell Church Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 15, conducted by Rev. D. H. Knight.  Interment took place in Hopewell cemetery.
