Minnie Loreta Fisher Duckworth
(1873-1922)
Pub. Times; March 30, 1922 Minnie Loreta Duckworth, wife of H. M. Duckworth and daughter of W. A. and Mary C. Fisher was born near Macedonia, Ill., April 28, 1873. She departed this life March 20, 1922 at Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Age 48 years, 11 months and 2 days. When eleven years old she was united with the Methodist church at Macedonia and was a faithful member of that church for thirty-seven years, until she was called to the great beyond. February 28, 1892, she was married to H. M. Duckworth, and to this union six children were born; three of whom have preceded her in death. The children who survive her are Orris Duckworth, Mrs. Ruby Withrow of Keens, Ill., and Mrs. Ruena Tolbert of Wayne City, Ill., besides her children she leaves her husband, father, three grand children, and three sisters. The sisters are, Mrs. Mattie Lee of Mt.. Vernon, Ill, Mrs. Eva Gullie of McLeansboro, and Mrs. Ade Vise of Ewing, Ill., and one brother, Pender W. Fisher of Macedonia, and many relatives and friends who mourn her departure. In the passing of Mrs. Duckworth we loose a faithful wife and mother. A good and kind neighbor. Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. Church, Macedonia, March 22, 1922. Interment in the Macedonia cemetery. |
