Edward F. Donley

Edward F. Donley, was born in Hamilton county October 17, 1865; departed this life March 8, 1919; aged 53 years, 4 months and 18 days.

May 2, 1888 he was united in marriage to Minnie J. Reeder.  To this union were born eight children.  The children are Irene, Grace, Irvin S., George D., Rosalie, Claude, Ruby and Robert.  The boys are in the service of their country--George is in France and Irvin is with the U. S. Navy in Mexico.  Claude and Grace preceded their father in death.

Mr. Donley was converted to Christ but did not unite with any church.

Besides his wife and children he leaves one brother, George W. Donley, of McLeansboro; five sisters, Mrs. W. J. Wilson, Mrs. George James, Mrs. George Stephens, Mary Davis, all of McLeansboro, and Mrs. Lillie Darling, of Franklin, Illinois.

The funeral service was held from the New Hope church, near Thackeray, Sunday afternoon, March 9, by Rev. W. E. Bennett, and the body laid to rest in the New Hope cemetery.
