        Funeral Services for Albert Davis, 82, McLeansboro were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at the Johnson Funeral Home here with Rev. John Deed officiating.  Burial followed in Hickory Hill Cemetery at Broughton.

        He died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the Eldorado Nursing Home.

        A retired farmer and tax assessor, Mr. Davis, was born in Hamilton County on October 25, 1898--the son of the late William H. & Sophronia "Roberts" Davis.  He was married to the former Daisy O'Bryan--who preceded him in death.

        He was a member of the Baptist Church.

        Survivors include three sons: Dr. Francis Davis, Conroe, Texas; Wilburn, Mt. Vernon; William, McLeansboro; four daughters; Mrs. Alice Deen, Broughton; Mrs. Eva Eaton, McLeansboro; Mrs. Sue Cottingham, St. Louis; Mrs. Fred Kone, Mt. Vernon; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

        In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, one son and two sisters.
