Olive Winefred Coker

McLeansboro Times, December 6, 1917 MISS OLIVE COKER DIES AFTER A LINGERING ILLNESS Olive Winefred Coker was born at McLeansboro, Ill., in the year of 1884, and departed this life in the same city, Friday, Nov. 30, 1917. She was the eldest child of Charles E. and Ella Coker, who preceded her in death when she was but a young girl. A few years ago she went to Elgin to work in a hospital where she contracted tuberculosis, which caused her to seek a recuperation in California and New Mexico. She returned to this city last spring. She was a modest, industrious young lady and made friends where she went. She leaves two sisters, one brother and many other relatives and friends to mourn her demise. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. W. Ivie from the residence of her uncle. Interment in Odd Fellows' cemetery. |
