Mable BROWNING, 91, McLeansboro, died 6:30 a.m. Feb. 16, 1993, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Browning was a housewife.

She was born March 24, 1901, in Jefferson county, daughter of William and Sadie (Gibbs) McClure.  Feb. 28, 1922, she married Roy Browning, who preceded her in death.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with Rev. Rudolph Schlag and Denny Steed, officiating.  Burial will following in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Browning is survived by one nephew, Charles Browning of McLeansboro; one sister-in-law, Maude Browning of McLeansboro, two cousins; Dollie Watkins of Decatur and Mrs. Jewell Dare of Opdyke and close friends; W. E. and Virginia Shuster of McLeansboro.

Mrs. Browning was a member of ten Mile Baptist church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
