From: Unknown Newspaper CECIL M. BOND Cecil M. Bond, 50, of 521 Monson St., East Peoria, died at St. Francis Hospital at 1:55 p.m. yesterday January 20, 1966, where he was admitted January 10. Born at McLeansboro, May 25, 1915, he was a son of Arthur and Eliza Wagoneck Bond, and married Eva D. Stroud in Peoria July 31, 1948. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and had been chief steward of Local 974, UAW, at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 27 years. He was a welder at the tractor plant and a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church at McLeansboro. Surviving are his wife; his mother of McLeansboro; two sons, William Arthur and Kenneth Dale Bond, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Myers of Peoria, and one brother, Ernest Bond of McLeansboro. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Schmidt Funeral Parlors in East Peoria, with the Rev. Walter H. Tuesday of Peoria First Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral parlor from 4-9 p.m. Sunday. |
